Alex Price, Cryptobiologist specializing in reptiles and amphibians, brother to Verity and Antimony, hopeful breeder of basilisks, "God of Scales and Silence" according to his splinter colony of Aeslin Mice, and wearer of tweed ("it's a lifestyle choice").
Nowhere near as cool, brooding or moody as his fellow urban fantasy heroes, but he's done okay so far.
